Viking Sponsors 47th Annual Golf Classic for Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce

The Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce's 47th annual Golf Classic is the city's largest single-day golf event boasting 265 golfers each year.

This year, the Viking Duluth location sponsored a hole and created a game of longest ball. Game participants had to use a homemade club consisting of pvc pipe and fitting (3/4" sch 40 with a 90 on the end) and hit the ball off of a sprinkler head.

Most participants were told they had to where the appropriate PPE to engage. Amazingly enough, one guy smashed it 160-yards.

Viking, Duluth is going to continue this new tradition and upgrade their golf clubs each year.
