Viking Welcomes Olsen Fire and Total Life Security

Viking Automatic Sprinkler Company is pleased to welcome Olsen Fire and Total Life Security to the Viking and APi Group family as of September 1, 2016.​

With operations based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Olsen Fire provides fire sprinkler design, service, installation, inspection and maintenance. Total Life Security provides monitoring, service and inspection of fire alarm systems.

The history between Viking and the Olsen family spans back four generations when Adelbert "Ole" Olsen worked 34 years with Viking. Richard "Dick" Olsen, Ole's son, joined Viking in 1958 and started Olsen Fire Protection in 1981. Kevin and Lisa Olsen have managed operations since 1994. Their focus in service has been "expect the best" and "looking out for your best interests." Bringing the Olsen team back into the family is an exciting venture that expands Viking's customer base in the Twin Cities market.

Kevin brings 35 years of fire protection experience and a passion for the industry that is second to none. He holds a managing license for the business and works as an active member of the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA) and the local Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC).

Lisa holds a degree in business from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Her active role in strategic planning, management, coordination and implementation of best practices throughout the company continues to be a large part of their success.

Together, they bring several knowledgeable and enthusiastic team members who are prepared to continue the Olsen tradition.

Viking, Olsen Fire and Total Life Security are enthusiastic about uniting and moving into the next chapter of fire protection and fire alarms throughout the Midwest.
